BJP leader gives out Ganesh idols, calls for peaceful celebrations

Hyderabad: On Monday, A Suryaprakash Singh, the treasurer for BJP Hyderabad Central District, gave away five-foot-tall Lord Ganesh statues at Barkatpura Chaman. These were distributed free to young people and residents from nearby apartments, colonies, and slums.

BJP Leader N Gautam Rao attended the event. He emphasized the importance of government support to ensure a peaceful Ganesh Utsav in Bhagyanagar. He highlighted the festival’s significance in the country and called for cooperation from the state government and police to ensure safe festivities.

Rao also addressed recent electrical accidents in the city. He mentioned incidents in which five individuals died in Ramanthapur, one in Amberpet, and two in Bandlaguda. He urged officials to implement strong measures to prevent further incidents and called for the electricity department to act swiftly. Additionally, he requested that the police avoid imposing unnecessary restrictions on festival organizers.
