Ram Anjaneyulu, the BJP District President of Jogulamba Gadwal, visited the IKP Paddy Procurement Center in Kondapuram village, located in K.T. Doddi mandal, to review its operations. His visit followed instructions from the state BJP leadership and Mahabubnagar MP D.K. Aruna.
During his inspection, Anjaneyulu found several issues. He said the center was not maintaining proper records and was ignoring the token system, which is meant to organize the order of farmers delivering their produce. He criticized the center’s lack of transparency.
He also pointed out a shortage of gunny bags, which are essential for packing and transporting paddy. This shortage is slowing down the delivery of crops to rice mills. He demanded that officials fix this problem quickly to avoid further delays for farmers.
Anjaneyulu raised another serious concern. He claimed that paddy from Karnataka was being illegally brought into the center. He called for strict action to stop this unauthorized procurement.
To protect farmers, he insisted that deductions on paddy weights be fair. He recommended that no more than 400 grams should be deducted from bags weighing over 40 kilograms. This would help ensure farmers receive the correct payment for their crops.
Several local BJP leaders joined him during the visit. These included:
– G. Sripadha Reddy, Mandal President
– Anmi Reddy, District Council Member
– Erra Bheem Reddy, Senior Leader
– Swapna, District Secretary
– Srinivasulu, Gadwal Mandal President
– Nagireddy Ampi Reddy
– Venkatapuram Govindu
– Veeresh
– and other party members.
The BJP team strongly emphasized the need for transparency, accountability, and farmer-friendly policies at all procurement centers. They warned that any continued mismanagement will face strict opposition from the party.
