A BJP leader in Hyderabad has gone missing and the police have formed special teams for the search operation. M Tirupathi Reddy, a local BJP leader in Alwal, has not been seen since Thursday afternoon. It is suspected that he has been kidnapped by unidentified persons. He had gone to the Tahsildar office for land related work and his mobile phone has been switched off since Thursday afternoon.

The family members of the BJP leader believe that the local MLA and his henchmen are involved in his disappearance. His wife, Sujatha, alleges that they were under pressure to sell their land at a low price. Politicians with lands adjacent to theirs were pressuring them to sell it. Sujatha is worried about her husband’s safety as he had been tense and worried for the past few days. He had told her about the threats he was facing to sell the land and expressed fears of harm if he refused.

After Sujatha filed a complaint, the police registered a case and started an investigation. The last sighting of Reddy was at Gachibowli, where he was seen getting off from an auto rickshaw. The police have no clue indicating that he was kidnapped, according to a police officer.
