A BJP leader in Hyderabad has gone missing and the police are searching for him. The leader, M Tirupathi Reddy, has not been seen since Thursday afternoon and is suspected to have been kidnapped. He had gone to the Tahsildar office for land related work and his phone has been switched off since then.

The family members of the BJP leader believe that a local MLA and his henchmen are involved in his disappearance. They allege that they were under pressure to sell their land at a low price, as politicians with adjoining lands were pressuring them. The leader’s wife, Sujatha, is worried about his safety and claims that he had been tense and worried for the past few days. He had told her about the threats he was facing to sell the land and expressed fear of harm if he refused.
