Hyderabad: BJP leader Aleti Maheshwar Reddy accused Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy of engaging in negative politics that harm Prime Minister Narendra Modi's reputation, the Indian Armed Forces, and the nation. He reacted to comments allegedly made by the Chief Minister during a Congress rally in Bachupalli on Friday.
Maheshwar Reddy claimed that Revanth’s statements showed a pro-Pakistan bias within Congress. He highlighted that despite PM Modi's commitment to Operation Sindoor to counter Pakistan-backed terrorism, CM Revanth Reddy uses strategies that damage Modi’s credibility. Maheshwar Reddy strongly criticized Revanth Reddy’s remarks on national security and foreign policies, especially the claim that Modi yielded to US President Donald Trump by agreeing to a ceasefire with Pakistan, thereby affecting the dignity of 150 crore Indians.
He called these remarks highly inappropriate and likened them to treason. The BJP leader alleged that Congress rallies promote pro-Pakistani views while attacking Modi under the cover of Jai Hind rallies, revealing what he described as Congress’s failed politics. He expressed regret that the party is using national security and foreign policy for political gains. He argued that if India had given in to President Trump’s pressure, the Indian Army would not have conducted strikes against Pakistan.
