A minor conflict occurred in Khammam on Thursday during the MLC elections. The tensions arose due to clashes between BJP and CPM leaders, leading to the arrest of some BJP leaders.

A large group of BJP leaders and activists, led by BJP Khammam district president Galla Satyanarayana, gathered at polling stations in Khammam city. They urged voters to support their candidate, Puli Sarvottam Reddy, for the Khammam-Nalgonda-Warangal Teachers MLC constituency.

However, their actions angered the TSUTF Union, which led to a heated argument. The situation escalated when BJP leaders claimed that their members were attacked. In response, BJP leaders demanded an apology, leading to further scuffles with CPM leaders. During the clash, some tents at the polling site were damaged. The police had to intervene to disperse both groups.
