MLC elections conducted smoothly: DC

District Collector Muzammil Khan announced that the MLC elections in Khammam district were conducted peacefully. By 4:00 PM, voter turnout had reached 93.05 percent.

On Thursday, the District Collector visited the teachers’ polling station at Rikka Bazaar High School in Khammam. During his visit, he inspected the voting process and observed how teachers were casting their votes.

He stated that 24 polling stations were set up in the district for the election of teachers’ seats in the Telangana Legislative Council. A total of 4,089 teacher voters were registered in the district.

Out of these, 3,805 teachers exercised their right to vote. This included 2,218 male voters and 1,587 female voters. The voter turnout increased steadily throughout the day, reaching 20.35 percent by 10:00 AM, 54.34 percent by noon, 79.53 percent by 2:00 PM, and 93.05 percent by 4:00 PM.
