Infighting in the Telangana unit of the BJP was on display again in Nizamabad when some party leaders staged a protest against their own MP Arvind Dharampuri. The protestors gathered outside the BJP’s district office in Nizamabad, carrying signs that said “save BJP” and raising slogans against the MP. This is the second time that unhappy leaders have protested against Arvind. On July 26, around 100 party leaders from different areas of the district held a flash protest at the BJP state headquarters in Hyderabad.

The protestors alleged that Arvind appointed his followers as presidents of 13 mandal BJP units, replacing dedicated party workers. They demanded action be taken against Arvind and expressed their grievances to state BJP president G. Kishan Reddy. However, Reddy reprimanded the party leaders for protesting and stated that such activity will not be tolerated. He encouraged them to communicate any issues to the party leadership, who will address them accordingly.

The controversy began on July 24 when Arvind tweeted about the appointment of new BJP presidents for 13 mandals in Nizamabad district, which sparked strong protests from some leaders. Arvind later clarified that he had no involvement in the appointments and claimed they were made by the district party leadership.
