Hyderabad: The BJP in Telangana has taken a decisive step after the central leadership accepted Goshamahal MLA Raja Singh’s resignation on June 30. State party spokesperson Rani Rudrama announced on Friday that former state BJP chief and Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy sent Raja Singh’s resignation letter to the party’s top leaders, as Singh was an active MLA for the party.
Rudrama mentioned that Raja Singh had faced multiple suspensions from the BJP in the past. This time, he chose to resign on his own and handed his resignation to Kishan Reddy, who then forwarded it to the national leadership. They accepted it without personal animosity. She highlighted that the resignation was accepted purely due to concerns about indiscipline within the party.
Earlier, prominent BJP figures like Chevella MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar, and State BJP Chief N. Ramchander Rao emphasized that the party would not tolerate indiscipline and that the organization’s integrity is paramount. Now, Raja Singh must decide whether to step down as an MLA or remain a topic of discussion within BJP circles.
