Gadwal: During a press meet at the BJP office in Aij, town president Kampati Bhagat Reddy and other leaders highlighted the essential role of party workers in building the organization from the ground up.
Bhagat Reddy spoke to reporters, emphasizing the importance of empowering booth-level workers and welcoming new members. He stated that in the BJP, there is no difference between new and long-time members. “Every worker is a BJP soldier,” he said, describing them as the backbone of the party. He praised the dedication of those who have spent years strengthening the party.
He also addressed false claims, particularly from Congress leaders, suggesting that new BJP members would lose access to government benefits. “These claims are misleading,” he asserted, stating people can join the BJP willingly.
Criticism of the Congress Government
Bhagat Reddy criticized the ruling Congress government in Telangana, accusing it of making empty promises and misleading the public. He referred to the Congress‘s “6 Guarantees” as “66 deceptions,” questioning the transparency and implementation of welfare schemes. He insisted that all eligible individuals should receive their due benefits.
Central Government Welfare Schemes
Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the central government has launched many development and welfare programs benefiting Telangana residents, Bhagat Reddy explained. He mentioned:
- Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi: Provides ₹6,000 per year to eligible farmers in three installments, funded entirely by the central government.
- Soil Health Card Scheme: Offers farmers vital soil health information, reducing harmful chemical use and boosting crop yields.
- Ayushman Bharat: Provides free medical treatment up to ₹5 lakhs annually for poor families, though not fully implemented in Telangana due to the state’s Aarogyasri scheme.
- Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao: Aims to protect and educate girl children through awareness initiatives.
- Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan: A joint effort with state governments to enhance education from primary to intermediate levels.
- Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana: Assists in building homes for the poor, funded by both central and state governments.
- Skill Development Initiatives: Programs like Startup India and Standup India aim to empower youth with free skill training, financial aid, and mentorship to foster entrepreneurship.
Party Unity and Vision
Bhagat Reddy reaffirmed the BJP‘s dedication to inclusive growth and transparency, focusing on reaching every eligible citizen with development programs. He stressed that no legitimate beneficiary would be left out, and the BJP remains committed to a development-driven agenda.
