Hanumakonda: On Thursday, Station Ghanpur MLA Kadiyam Srihari expressed that the government is running unique welfare programs unmatched in the nation. He and additional collector Rohit Singh participated in a ration card distribution event at the tahsildar’s office in Lingala Ghanpur mandal. Beneficiaries received ration cards, and 14 people were given cheques totaling Rs 7,98,250 from the CM’s Relief Fund.
Srihari urged the BJP to prove its commitment to BC rights by legally supporting BC reservations. He criticized the BRS for abusing power and increasing the State’s debt. He questioned the wealth increase of KCR, KTR, Harish Rao, and Kavitha since 2014, suggesting misuse of power. Srihari pointed out that the Kalvakuntla family is facing several legal battles, with one member already jailed and others potentially facing the same fate.
He mentioned that the public’s long-standing demand for ration cards was met by the current government. In Jangaon district, 9,700 ration cards were approved, adding 14,780 new members. In the mandal, 688 ration cards were issued. He urged those without cards to apply promptly. He praised the Congress for ensuring justice for the poor and highlighted the distribution of free fine rice as a first in the country.
Srihari accused the Opposition of baseless criticism and remarked that those who can’t act tend to talk excessively. He noted that the government holds a record for waiving Rs 2,000 crore in loans within a year. He announced that new pensions would be granted soon and advised people to notice how former power holders of the past decade are now facing legal issues.
