Khanapur: Nirmal District is taking firm steps against fake seeds. District Collector Abhilasha Abhinav emphasized the need for regular checks in seed shops to protect farmers. The Collector highlighted the importance of department collaboration for the district’s development.
At a meeting on Thursday, she reported that 32 child laborers have been found through Operation Muskan. So far, 19 cases have been filed. Children should be moved to government hostels, and business licenses of offenders should be canceled.
Abhilasha directed medical officers to tackle illegal practices by RMPs. Legal actions should be taken against those violating treatment rules. 51 cases have been filed under the SC and ST Act. Compensation is complete for 39 cases, while 12 cases are still in process. The aim is to make Nirmal district free of drugs, she noted.
Reports show 73 cases related to drugs, with 145 arrests and the seizure of 525 kg 305 grams of ganja. Villagers in Kadtal and Son must implement measures to reduce highway accidents in their areas.
