Hyderabad celebrated the 79th Independence Day at the BJP Telangana State Office with great enthusiasm. N. Ramchandra Rao, the BJP Telangana State President, raised the national flag and honored the sacrifices of martyrs and freedom fighters.
Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar attended as the chief guest, joined by senior leaders such as Dr. Kasam Venkateswarlu, Dugyala Pradeep Kumar, and others. Dr. Shilpa Reddy gave the vote of thanks at the end of the event.
N. Ramchandra Rao, marking his first ceremony as State President, sent warm wishes to Indians worldwide. He mentioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 12th flag-hoisting at the Red Fort and his record-length Independence Day speech.
Rao highlighted the sacrifices of heroes like Bhagat Singh, Chandrashekhar Azad, and others, urging the youth to pursue their dreams and aid national growth.
He praised India’s progress under Prime Minister Modi, noting its rise to the world’s fourth-largest economy. Rao recalled the strength during Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s time, especially the Pokhran nuclear tests, and commended the government’s current efforts in reforms and infrastructure.
Rao encouraged a revival of the Swadeshi movement, urging people to buy local products and reduce plastic use for environmental protection. He praised India’s international efforts, like vaccine diplomacy during COVID-19.
He warned against divisive politics, urging everyone to uphold constitutional values. “Let us unite, honor our freedom fighters, and create a Young India, Naya Bharat,” he concluded.
