Hyderabad: KT Rama Rao, who is the Working President of the BRS, stated on Friday that Telangana, the newest state in India, has set a national example under the BRS leadership.
Rama Rao attended the Independence Day event at Telangana Bhavan. After raising the national flag, he extended his greetings to all Indians on the 79th Independence Day.
He expressed gratitude to those who sacrificed for the country’s freedom, acknowledging the leaders of that era. Rao noted that independent India began with 14 states and has grown into a nation with 28 diverse states.
“Our fight for Telangana was inspired by leaders like Gandhi, Nehru, and Ambedkar. Under KCR’s leadership, we realized the vision of ‘Jai Jawan Jai Kisan’ through impressive achievements in development, welfare, income, and agriculture,” Rao remarked.
Telangana, initially ranked 14th, surpassed Punjab and Haryana in grain production within a decade, thanks to KCR’s focus on empowering farmers as key players in the state.
The BRS leader further highlighted that over the last ten years, Telangana has become a guiding light for India across various sectors, including IT, industries, urban and rural development, and welfare initiatives for the underprivileged.
