Congress Protests Against Central Budget in Khammam

A huge protest was organized in Khammam by the district Congress unit in response to the state Congress party’s call. The demonstration was held to express dissatisfaction with the budget allocations made by the Central Government.

The rally began at the District Congress Committee (DCC) office and concluded at the Ambedkar statue. It was led by District Congress President Puvvala Durga Prasad and State Warehouses Corporation Chairman Rayala Nageswara Rao. During the event, Rayala strongly criticized the BJP-led Central Government for neglecting Telangana’s interests in the budget.

Rayala pointed out that not a single rupee was allocated to Telangana in the budget, which he found highly disappointing. He also questioned how Union Minister Kishan Reddy could describe the budget as a “dream budget” despite this oversight. Rayala urged Telangana leaders to take inspiration from Union ministers in neighboring states who actively work to promote their regions’ economic growth.
