State BJP general secretary Dr. Kasam Venkateshwarlu has demanded that the government should engage in talks with students, youth organizations, and intellectuals to address the increasing unrest in universities. He also called for an all-party meeting to help diffuse the situation.
Dr. Venkateshwarlu highlighted how former CM Y S Rajasekar Reddy had successfully held discussions with the student community in the past. He urged CM Revanth Reddy to follow suit by engaging in talks with student and youth organizations, as well as intellectuals, to address the growing unrest among unemployed youth. He referenced a State High Court judgment that allows the government to issue job notifications with sufficient gaps and additional notifications to fill vacancies.
The BJP general secretary criticized Congress leaders like Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, and AICC chief Mallikharjuna Kharge for failing to fulfill promises made to unemployed youth in Telangana. He mentioned how Revanth Reddy had assured to release job notifications to fill two lakh vacancies within 100 days of coming to power, but failed to do so within seven months.
Dr. Venkateshwarlu expressed concern over the government’s response to agitating students and unemployed individuals, accusing them of resorting to oppressive tactics similar to the previous regime. He highlighted the need for the government to address the issue of vacant government positions, criticizing their failure to fill these posts post-bifurcation.
The BJP leader emphasized the importance of allowing sufficient time between job notifications for proper preparation by students. He urged the government to prioritize addressing the demands of unemployed individuals instead of focusing on false prestige or delaying Service Commission examinations.
