Starting in the 2025-26 academic year, any transgender person with a 10+2 qualification can enroll in any degree program at the university. They will only need to pay a Rs 500 registration fee, as all tuition fees will be waived.
Transgender students will receive free course materials. No fees will be required for attending classes or continuing studies through other media. They can access study tools at no cost and attend classes at any study center in Telangana.
Prof. Chakrapani emphasized the university’s commitment to providing equal opportunities for everyone. BRAOU already offers free education to prisoners and military personnel. The university has also announced a program to provide free higher education to children from backward tribal communities, including Gond, Koya, and Chenchu, starting this academic year.
