Telangana Agriculture Minister S Niranjan Reddy accused the State government of failing to manage irrigation projects and neglecting farmers with dried crops. He criticized ministers and the Chief Minister for not visiting farmers in need. Reddy also questioned the government’s unclear grain purchasing and storage plans, as well as the focus on political activities over addressing agricultural crises.

During a press conference at Telangana Bhavan, the BRS leader demanded clarity on whether the government would provide Rs 500/quintal for the Rabi crop. He called for accountability and support for farmers facing challenges, emphasizing the importance of purchasing crops at Minimum Support Price (MSP) and addressing water scarcity issues. Reddy criticized the government’s priorities, highlighting instances where leaders were absent during times of agricultural distress.
