Minister for Transport Ponnam Prabhakar has accused the BRS and BJP of working together to defeat the Congress candidate in the recent MLC elections in Telangana.
The ruling Congress faced a setback in the elections, with the BJP winning both the Karimnagar Graduates seat and the Teachers seat for Medak-Nizamabad-Adilabad-Karimnagar. Prabhakar alleged that BRS leaders, K Chandrashekar Rao and Harish Rao, conspired with the BJP by not fielding candidates. He said that the people of Telangana were watching these developments closely.
Prabhakar also criticised Union Minister Bandi Sanjay for his comments about Ramzan gifts. He claimed that these remarks showed a lack of political understanding.
Additionally, he challenged BJP leaders to ensure that Telangana receives funds from the Central government if they are truly committed to the state’s development. He accused the BJP of being biased against Telangana and questioned why BJP MPs were not focusing on local projects.
