In Mahbubnagar, political killings have become a common occurrence in the Kollapur constituency. Within the past two months, two important BRS leaders have been murdered since the Congress government took power just six months ago.

The latest victim was a prominent BRS leader from Chinnambai mandal, Sridhar Reddy, who was brutally killed at his home by unknown perpetrators. BRS working president KTR visited Chinnambai to attend Reddy’s final rites ceremony.

Local police are still investigating the murder, which is believed to be politically motivated due to Reddy’s opposition to the Congress party in the region. Allegations have surfaced that Jupally Krishna Rao may have been involved in the crime, prompting calls for a thorough investigation by the BRS party.

Following Reddy’s death, BRS activists and leaders from Palamuru region gathered at Laxmipally village to pay their respects and criticize the Congress party for promoting faction politics and political violence in the area.

KTR, along with other prominent leaders, visited Reddy’s family to offer condolences and condemn the murder. He accused the Congress government, especially Minister Jupally Krishna Rao, of being complicit in the violence and called for accountability.

KTR demanded the dismissal of Jupally Krishna Rao and urged Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to initiate a judicial inquiry into the recent spate of murders in Kollapur. He emphasized the need for a fair investigation into Reddy’s death and called for the region to be declared a disturbed area due to ongoing factional conflicts.

The gathering stressed the importance of restoring peace and order in Kollapur, holding the Congress party responsible for the escalating political violence in the region.
