Hyderabad: BRS senior leader B Vinod Kumar strongly condemned the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam. Speaking at a press conference at Telangana Bhavan, he said that religious extremism has become a global threat. He called the attack “heinous and unfortunate” because the attackers asked the victims about their religion before killing them.

Vinod Kumar emphasized that all forms of religious extremism, including Islamic fundamentalism, are dangerous. He urged all political parties to come together and oppose such ideologies. He stressed the importance of respecting all religions.

He also shared his past experience as part of an all-party delegation that visited Kashmir in 2010. He said that the local people in Kashmir are kind and peaceful, and do not hold any hatred. According to him, it is Pakistan-supported terrorists who are creating trouble in the region. He accused Pakistan of misleading the youth and luring them into terrorism.

Vinod Kumar added that the attack was a major setback for Kashmiris. He explained that summer is the peak tourist season, and such attacks scare tourists away, affecting the local economy. When asked about Article 370, he said terrorist incidents had happened even before it was removed, and the BRS would support any action taken by the Indian government to fight terrorism.
