Jagadish Reddy Criticizes Congress, Highlights KCR Government’s Achievements

Nalgonda: Former Minister and MLA from Suryapet, Jagadish Reddy, held a press conference in Nalgonda on Sunday alongside other BRS leaders. He strongly criticized the recent comments made by Congress leader and CM aspirant Revanth Reddy during his visit to Nalgonda. Jagadish also took the opportunity to highlight the accomplishments of the KCR-led government.

Jagadish accused the Congress of inaugurating projects that were already completed under KCR’s leadership. He claimed the opposition lacked the ability to launch new initiatives or undertake major development work. Citing the Yadadri Thermal Power Project—one of the largest in India—he praised KCR’s vision and determination. He stated, “Thanks to KCR’s persistence and leadership, the Yadadri plant has been completed, and we are on track to achieve 24,000 MW of power generation by 2027.”

The former minister also criticized the Congress for their handling of the fluoride crisis during their rule, labeling them as a “harbinger of misfortune.” He applauded KCR for eradicating the issue through the Mission Bhagiratha water project, which now provides safe drinking water to the region.

Jagadish dismissed Revanth Reddy’s remarks on the Yadadri plant as baseless and accused him of trying to incite caste-based divisions. He further claimed that Congress had provided no financial support for key projects like the Yadadri plant or the medical college in the region, which were completed solely with funds allocated by KCR’s government.

Mocking Revanth Reddy’s public meeting, Jagadish remarked, “People began leaving his meeting midway, while KCR’s presence always generates enthusiasm among the masses.” He also criticized Congress leaders Komatireddy and other ministers for delaying projects like the SLBC and accused them of making unfounded allegations against the current government.

He concluded by accusing Congress of “destroying Nalgonda” by halting agricultural progress and exploiting the district’s resources.
