    Warangal:
Warangal has always been a lucky place for the BRS (Bharat Rashtra Samithi), earlier known as TRS (Telangana Rashtra Samithi). Since the party started in 2001, all the meetings held in Warangal to support a separate Telangana state were very successful.

After losing the 2023 Assembly elections, BRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) stayed away from active politics. Instead, he let his son, K T Rama Rao (KTR), and his nephew, T Harish Rao, handle the party’s work and challenge the Congress government. This gave the new Chief Minister, A Revanth Reddy, a chance to criticize KCR.

Now, with his reputation slipping, KCR has chosen Warangal once again to hold a big public meeting. This meeting is planned to coincide with the party’s 25th anniversary celebrations. KCR has given the responsibility for organizing the event and gathering the crowd to his senior leaders, but Harish Rao was not included in the arrangements.

Warangal has always attracted huge crowds to KCR’s meetings. The party leaders are making sure this meeting is also a big success. Past meetings in Warangal in 2003, 2007, and 2010 helped the TRS grow stronger and showed the public’s support for a separate Telangana state.

In 2003, the Warangal Jaitra Yatra saw leaders like former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda and Union Minister Ajith Singh attend. Another big meeting was held in 2005 with Union Minister Sharad Pawar. In 2007, the Telangana Vishwaroopa Garjana was a major event on the party’s annual day.

Later, in 2009, a large Students JAC meeting was held at Kakatiya University after KCR made an emotional call for Telangana’s creation. In 2010, social activist Swami Agnivesh attended another successful event.

Senior BRS leaders from the old Warangal district — Sirikonda Madhusudhana Chary, Errabelli Dayakar Rao, and D Vinay Bhaskar — believe that the upcoming meeting at Elkathurthy will be one of the biggest in BRS history.
