Warangal:
Former chief whip D Vinay Bhaskar and his BRS supporters held a protest near Kaloji Junction in Hanumakonda on Thursday. They were upset about remarks made by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy against women MLAs.
During the Assembly session on Wednesday, the CM warned BRS working president K T Rama Rao not to trust the women sitting behind him. This comment was believed to be directed at MLAs Sabitha Indra Reddy and Sunitha Laxma Reddy.
Vinay Bhaskar condemned the CM’s remarks and demanded an apology. He accused the ruling Congress of disrespecting women members and said that women in the State would respond strongly to the CM and his ministers.
Vinay also criticized the Revanth Reddy Government, claiming it was mistreating BRS members to distract from its failure to fulfill election promises. He pledged that the BRS would continue to fight for the people until the Congress Government delivered on its Six Guarantees and other promises.
After the protest, the BRS members burned an effigy of CM Revanth Reddy.
Several notable figures participated in the protest, including Deputy Mayor Rizwana Shameem Masood, Corporators Nalla Swaroopa Rani, Sanku Narsing, Immadi Raju Lohitha, Soda Kiran, Bionpally Ranjith Rao, and Chennam Madhu. BRS Warangal West constituency coordinator Puli Rajanikanth, along with leaders Jorika Ramesh, U Sarangapani, and Ch Ramesh, also joined the protest.
