Hyderabad: The BRS party has not yet made a decision on the One Nation One Election (ONOE) plan, which was approved by the Union Cabinet on Wednesday.

When asked about the issue, BRS working president KT Rama Rao said the central government needs to explain how they plan to implement the ONOE. He pointed out that the last Lok Sabha elections were held recently, and the next one is scheduled for 2029. He asked whether the Centre plans to dissolve all state assemblies or hold elections in phases. He emphasized that the government should first clarify this to the opposition.

KTR also mentioned that elections in five states are coming up soon and that the issue of women’s reservation needs to be addressed. He said that the BRS party would discuss the matter before making a final decision. A meeting with the party’s legislators and MPs will be arranged to decide on their stance regarding ONOE.
