The BRS party made some changes in the candidate for the Alampur Assembly constituency. They replaced Abraham with Vijeyudu. The BRS Chief, K Chandrashekar Rao, had initially announced Abraham as the candidate in August. However, there was dissatisfaction among the people in the constituency regarding this choice. The party remained silent on the matter until now. Abraham was seen at the party office trying to get the B-form.
Sources say that MLC Challa Venkatrami Reddy was not happy with the candidate and wanted a change. It is believed that the candidate supported by Challa Venkatrami Reddy has a better chance of winning, so the BRS decided to make a change. The B-form was given to Vijeyudu from Alampur, who is said to be a follower of Challa Venkatrami Reddy.
In addition to this change, the BRS working president KT Rama Rao also gave B-forms to party candidates in the Old City. They gave tickets to Nandkishore Vyas (Bilal) for the Goshamahal Assembly constituency and Ch Anand Goud for the Nampally Assembly constituency. Other candidates who received B-forms include Sama Sundar Reddy for Yakutpura, Andela Krishnaiah for Karwan, Ibrahim Lodi for Charminar, Sitaram Reddy for Chandrayangutta, Thigala Ajith Reddy for Malakpet, and Ali Bakri for Bahadurpura.
