Hyderabad: A cabinet sub-committee meeting was held at the Secretariat to discuss the categorisation of Scheduled Castes (SCs). The meeting was led by Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy, who is the head of the committee.
Ministers Damodar Rajanarasimha, Seethakka, and Ponnam Prabhakar also took part in the meeting. Shamim Akhtar, the chairman of the one-man commission on the issue, attended as well, along with several senior government officials.
The main focus of the meeting was to talk about different aspects of SC categorisation. The committee also reviewed the current work being done on the matter.
