Local BJP leaders in Aija town have made an important request to the state government. They are asking for the setup of a “BC Girls Post-Matric Hostel” to help underprivileged girl students who want to continue their higher education.
This request was made to Smt. Swetha Priyadarsini, the State Additional Director of BC Gurukuls and Special Officer for BC Hostels. The leaders explained that Aija town has many educational institutions like B.Ed colleges, Degree colleges, ITI, and Junior Colleges. These institutions attract around 2,000 students every day from Aija and nearby villages.
However, the town does not have proper hostel facilities for girls. Because of this, many female students find it hard to find a place to stay while studying. The leaders believe that building a government-run hostel will help more girls continue their education and reduce the chances of child marriage.
They also asked the government to consider building both Girls and Boys BC Post-Matric Hostels in Aija. This, they said, would support inclusive education in the area.
The appeal was signed by BJP Mandal President Y. Gopalakrishna, along with other local leaders like Venkataapuram Mahesh and Shiva Narasimhulu. Their joint appeal shows that the local community strongly supports this cause.
