BJP MLA Raghunandan Rao wants the government to cancel IRB Infrastructure Development Ltd’s contract to manage the ORR. He raised questions about the tender process and why the details were not public for 15 days. He also accused IRB and officials of being “terrorising” towards the media. Rao said he would approach the court after the vacation if his questions are not answered.
Rao revealed that an organisation had brutally murdered a person who filed an RTI against the company on the Pune Expressway issue. He also criticised Municipal Administration Minister KT Rama Rao for being silent on this issue.
Rao questioned why the government was giving relaxations to IRB and why it had changed and manipulated so many clauses in tenders. He said there is something wrong with this process.
