“CBI Seeks Cancellation of Default Bail Granted to A-1 in Viveka Murder Case”

The Telangana High Court heard a plea from the CBI, asking to cancel the default bail granted to Erra Gangi Reddy in the YS Viveka murder case. The CBI argued that Reddy had played an active role in the offence and therefore, the bail should be dismissed. Reddy’s lawyer argued that the Supreme Court had granted default bail and it cannot be cancelled without proper evidence of witness tampering or destroying evidence. The hearing was adjourned to April 25.
