Chaiya Chaiya from Bollywood played at White House Lawns

The a cappella group Penn Masala, made up of University of Pennsylvania students, performed popular Bollywood songs at the White House before Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s arrival. They sang in front of a crowd of 2000-3000 people on the South Lawns. First, they performed “Chaiyya Chaiyya” from the movie “Dil Se..” and then “Jashn e Bahaaraa” from “Jodha Akbar”. They also sang a version of Coldplay’s “Viva La Vida”. Penn Masala has performed at the White House before.
