VIJAYAWADA: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu wants tribal communities to excel in all sectors. He stressed the importance of developing remote tribal areas.
The Andhra Pradesh government held celebrations at Tummalapalli Kalakshetram in Vijayawada for World Tribal Day. As the chief guest, Chandrababu Naidu participated in traditional dances with tribal women and played drums. He also checked out Araku coffee products.
In his speech, Naidu noted that tribal communities were still behind in various aspects. He mentioned that the TDP government has been celebrating World Tribal Day every year. However, he expressed disappointment that the day had not been given enough attention in the past five years.
Naidu praised the bravery and skills of tribal people. He urged them to take inspiration from heroes like Alluri Sitarama Raju and Ekalavya. He reminded everyone of Alluri Sitarama Raju’s fight against British rule. Naidu also spoke about Draupadi Murmu, a former school teacher who became President, encouraging others to follow her example.
