The Supreme Court in New Delhi has adjourned the proceedings for former Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu’s anticipatory bail in the fibernet scam case. Justices Aniruddha Bose and Bela M Trivedi will continue the hearing on December 12. The Court previously heard arguments on November 9, 13, 17, and 20, and had adjourned the plea stating that the judgment in Naidu’s quash petition in the skill development case would be delivered after the Diwali vacation. Justice Aniruddha Bose confirmed that the judgment is still in process and scheduled the matter for December 12. Naidu’s counsel argued that Section 17-A of the Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Act applies to Naidu in the multi-crore skill development scam.
