Charminar has been chosen as the site for the 2025 Bibi ka Alam procession, thanks to Nawab Raunaq Yar Khan and the Shia Council. This decision highlights Hyderabad’s rich and diverse heritage.
The change respects both old customs and modern ideals, blending traditions from the Qutb Shahi and Nizam periods. Nawab Raunaq, known as the IX Nizam, seeks to bring royal customs into today’s democratic India, promoting unity and fairness.
Support from Nizam family members and the Shia Civil Council adds to the event’s promise of enhancing community harmony and city pride.
