Starting from June 1, private training institutes will now conduct driving tests and issue licenses, reducing the need to visit the RTO office frequently. The Central Government has introduced new regulations for the driving license system, which will take effect next month.

These training institutes must meet certain qualifications to be able to issue driving certificates. They need to have at least one acre of land, with an additional three acres for four-wheeler training. The center must be easily accessible and free from traffic disruptions. Trainers should have a high school education, five years of driving experience, and a basic understanding of biometrics and technology.
