Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has congratulated the state’s junior boys’ football team for their recent success. The team won the Tier 2 title in the Junior National Football Championship.
The Telangana team secured their win by defeating Manipur in the finals. The match took place in Assam as part of the BC Roy Trophy for the 2024-25 season.
This victory is especially important because it is the first time in nearly 48 years that Telangana has won this title. The team, along with their coach Syed Ali Akbar Abidi, visited the Chief Minister at the Secretariat today. They shared their happiness and celebrated the achievement together.
