Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy highlighted the urgent need for a change in national leadership. He criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi for not adequately responding to Pakistan during the recent Operation Sindoor.

Reddy compared Modi to an outdated Rs 1000-currency note after the India-Pakistan ceasefire. He suggested that if Congress leader Rahul Gandhi were in charge, inspired by his grandmother Indira Gandhi, he would have decisively acted against Pakistan, reclaiming Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) and liberating Balochistan.

During the Jai Hind rally on Thursday, attended by AICC state in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan, PCC president B Mahesh Kumar Goud, ministers, and ex-servicemen, Reddy urged support for Rahul Gandhi to become Prime Minister. He claimed Rahul would emulate Indira Gandhi, who had once split Pakistan.

Reddy praised Indira Gandhi for her leadership during past conflicts with Pakistan, stating that leading a war requires courage, strategy, and bravery. The audience responded enthusiastically to his comments.

Discussing Hyderabad's defense manufacturing capabilities, Reddy noted that if the current BJP government had used locally made jets during air combat with Pakistan, the outcome might have been different. He criticized the decision to buy Rafale jets, claiming they were purchased for contractors and were shot down by Pakistan. Reddy demanded Modi explain why there’s no discussion on this issue.

Reddy also criticized the BJP's Tiranga Yatra. He questioned their celebration since US President Donald Trump claimed credit for the India-Pakistan ceasefire. Reddy pointed out that while they supported Modi during a critical time, the Central government ignored political party opinions after the ceasefire.
