State chief secretary Santhi Kumari met with officials to discuss enforcing the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) for a fair election in Telangana. She reviewed the law and order situation, check posts, and seizure reports.

Kumari instructed officials to monitor airports, declare dry days in border districts during elections in neighboring states, and identify smuggling routes in forests for increased surveillance.

The Director General of Police reported that 85 border check posts have been set up, leading to seizures of around Rs 35 crore since the MCC was implemented. The Commercial Tax Department also seized Rs 5.19 crore through increased vigilance at integrated border check posts.
