China has increased tariffs on US goods to 125% as the trade war between the two countries continues to escalate. This move comes after President Trump raised duties on Chinese imports to 145%. China has stated that if the US continues to impose tariffs on Chinese goods, they will ignore it. This increase in tariffs comes as China faces pressure from the White House.

Beijing’s State Council Tariff Commission has condemned the high tariffs imposed by the US, calling it “unilateral bullying and coercion.” The new tariffs will take effect on Saturday. President Xi Jinping has also called on the European Union to join forces with China to fight against unilateral bullying.
