    A group of artists, scanning operators, and librarians working in different newspapers and news organizations in Hyderabad held a meeting at the Basheerbagh Press Club. The meeting was organized under the leadership of TUWJ (Telangana Union of Working Journalists) President Virahat Ali.

    During the meeting, these employees spoke to Press Academy Chairman K. Srinivas Reddy. They shared their concerns and requested that they receive benefits from various welfare schemes. They also asked for house sites as part of these benefits.

    The workers emphasized the important role they play in the production of newspapers. They requested recognition for their contributions and asked for benefits similar to those given to working journalists.

    TUWJ President Virahat Ali and former TUWJ President T. Koti Reddy supported these employees. They agreed that artists, librarians, and scanning operators are key members of newsrooms and should be treated equally when it comes to welfare schemes.

    Leaders of the employees, B. Shravan Kumar and Bhanu Prasad Singeetham, submitted a formal request to K. Srinivas Reddy on behalf of their coworkers.

    In response, Press Academy Chairman K. Srinivas Reddy assured the employees that they would receive the welfare benefits they are entitled to, just like working journalists.
