A group of Congress minority leaders from Shastripuram division honored Deputy Commissioner GHMC Rajendranagar on Saturday. They applauded the GHMC's quick response in maintaining cleanliness before and after the Bakrid festival.
Led by General Secretary of Rangareddy district, Mir Mohammed Ali Hashmi, the team met with Deputy Commissioner Ravi Kumar. They discussed the sanitary measures implemented during the Eid celebrations to ensure cleanliness and comfort for the community.
A key issue was the presence of cattle during Eid, particularly in Shastripuram, which required prompt disinfection efforts. The Deputy Commissioner later visited the area with the delegation, assessed the cleanliness, and spoke with residents. The leaders also highlighted the increased mosquito problem due to monsoon rains.
In response, the GHMC official instructed local supervisors to address these concerns. The Deputy Commissioner emphasized removing waste promptly and conducting anti-larvae treatments to control mosquito breeding.
The delegation also requested the Deputy Commissioner to ensure that eligible families in Shastripuram division receive housing under the Indiramma Scheme. The Deputy Commissioner promised to take necessary actions to identify and help eligible candidates through government welfare programs. He stated that officials have been directed to review applications thoroughly and resolve them quickly.
The delegation included senior Congress leaders like Mohd Mahmood, Vice President of Shastripuram Division Mohd Yousuf, General Secretary Mohd Sharif, and Youth President Mohd Mujeeb.
