CM KCR urges all department officials to be prepared for relief operations

The Godavari river in Bhadrachalam is overflowing due to heavy rains in the upper Godavari catchment area. Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has issued emergency orders to the Chief Secretary for immediate action. The government machinery, including the police, has been alerted. People in flood-prone areas of Bhadrachalam have been instructed to be prepared to move to safer areas. Officials who worked during previous floods will be utilized for relief measures.

Durishetti Anudeep, currently the Collector of Hyderabad, has been directed to go to Bhadrachalam and be ready for relief measures. Control rooms have been set up in Collectorates and MRO offices, along with the State Secretariat, for rain and flood relief operations. Helicopters and NDRF troops will be available for relief operations.

All necessary arrangements, including helicopters and control rooms, have been made in Bhadrachalam. Officials from Revenue, Panchayat Raj, Medical, Health, and Disaster Management departments have been instructed to be alert and take immediate action in coordination. The Chief Secretary will monitor the situation regularly. The State government is prepared to handle any situation.
