Hyderabad: Chief Minister Anumula Revanth Reddy now prefers working from the Telangana Police’s Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) instead of the Secretariat. Both buildings were constructed by the previous BRS government.
Revanth Reddy no longer holds meetings in the Secretariat. He only goes there to meet visiting delegates. Though the Secretariat had Vastu changes last year, the Chief Minister stays at the high-security ICCC, also known as the Police Command Control Centre (PCCC), in Banjara Hills.
Officials say Reddy moved meetings to the command centre when Vastu work began at the Secretariat. The main entrance, previously on the East side, was closed due to Vastu issues. A new entrance was opened on the Southeast corner, and changes were made on the sixth floor where his office is. Despite these updates, he still prefers the PCCC for reviews.
Top officials from the General Administration Department (GAD) mentioned Reddy’s concerns about safety and potential information leaks by some Secretariat staff linked to BRS leaders. This led him to choose the command centre for meetings.
Revanth Reddy’s frequent Secretariat visits used to cause traffic jams, drawing public criticism. Now, with meetings at the PCCC, traffic issues have eased. He visits the Secretariat mainly for meetings with international guests and Cabinet discussions.
Sources reveal that a new camp office is almost ready at the Dr Marri Chenna Reddy Human Resources Development Institute of Telangana (MCRHRDIT) campus. This will soon be the main location for regular reviews and Cabinet meetings. The Secretariat will serve section officers and house Secretaries’ offices once the camp office opens, which is near his Jubilee Hills residence.
