In a surprising event at the State Legislative Assembly on Friday, MLA Danam Nagender used obscene language towards fellow BRS MLAs. This incident has caused widespread outrage and embarrassment. Nagender was reported to have said, “You sons of your mothers, come out, I’ll strip your skin off.” His remarks prompted condemnation from both the public and political circles.
Nagaradoddi Venkat Ramulu, a senior BRS party leader, expressed his dismay over the incident. He stated that the event brought shame to civilized society. Venkat Ramulu highlighted that the language used by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy since the election campaign has set a negative example, influencing other MLAs to adopt similar behavior. He stressed that both the MLAs and the Chief Minister need to change their language.
Venkat Ramulu noted that the recent developments in the Assembly over the past two days have been marked by indecency and revulsion. He called on the Speaker to take immediate action by revoking Danam Nagender’s Assembly membership as a disciplinary measure. Furthermore, Venkat Ramulu criticized the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister for failing to maintain decorum, especially when Nagender’s remarks were directed at female MLAs.
He lamented that such a low level of discourse had never been witnessed in the Assembly before. Venkat Ramulu urged CM Revanth to strive for dignified conduct in the Assembly. Emphasizing the importance of ethical behavior in legislative bodies, he appealed to all members to act with integrity and serve as role models for future generations.
