Hyderabad: Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has announced a big bonus for Singareni workers. This bonus is based on the company’s production and profits from the previous year. Each permanent worker will receive ₹1.90 lakh, while contract workers will get ₹5,000 as a bonus.

The Chief Minister praised the hard work of Singareni workers, saying they played an important role in the Telangana movement. He acknowledged their efforts in contributing to the success of the state.

Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka added more details. He said Singareni made ₹4,701 crore in income during the 2023-24 financial year. Out of this, ₹2,289 crore was used for the company’s expansion and investments. The remaining ₹2,412 crore was kept, and ₹796 crore of it has been set aside as a bonus for the workers.

Singareni has 41,387 permanent workers. Each of these workers will get ₹1.90 lakh as a bonus this year. Last year, they received ₹1.70 lakh, so this year’s bonus is ₹20,000 more.

For the first time in Singareni’s history, contract workers will also receive a bonus. Around 25,000 contract workers will get ₹5,000 each.

The government is also planning future investments for Singareni. This includes expanding solar power production to 1,000 MW, building a 500 MW pumped storage plant in Ramagundam, and setting up more thermal power plants. These new power plants will include a 1×800 MW unit in Jaipur, another 1×800 MW unit under TS Genco in Ramagundam, and a 2,400 MW supercritical thermal power plant in Odisha’s Naini Block.

In addition to these investments, the government is also focusing on the welfare of Singareni families. They are planning to build schools and a multi-specialty hospital in Hyderabad.
