Hyderabad, 20th September 2024: Twenty-three faculty members from the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IITH) have been featured in the prestigious Top 2% Scientists of the World list, released by Stanford University and Elsevier. This recognition highlights the exceptional contributions of IITH’s young and passionate faculty, who continue to publish high-quality research in leading journals.

The list is divided into two categories: 11 faculty members are recognized for their career-long research contributions, while 23 have been highlighted for their research achievements in 2023. The ranking identifies the world’s top researchers, representing approximately 2% of all scientists globally, using standardized metrics such as citations, h-index, and various bibliometric indicators.

Dr. BVR Mohan Reddy, Chairman of IITH, congratulated the faculty on this remarkable achievement, stating, “This recognition underscores our commitment to pioneering research and affirms our position as a global leader.
