    Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy paid tribute to the legendary balladeer and people’s poet, Gaddar (Gummadi Vittal Rao), on his birth anniversary. Gaddar was remembered for his powerful songs and his unwavering fight against social inequalities and discrimination. The Chief Minister highlighted his immense contribution to the Telangana movement, where his art became a source of inspiration for many.

    Revanth Reddy announced that Gaddar’s legacy will be officially honored by the state government. He reiterated the decision to celebrate Gaddar’s birth anniversary as an official event every year. Additionally, an award named after Gaddar will be instituted to recognize poets, artists, and film personalities for their societal contributions.
