Education hub, women empowerment, irrigation projects, and industrial development top priority; “Indiramma Rajyam” to continue for 10 years
Kodangal, November 24, 2025 – Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has unveiled an ambitious development vision for his home constituency Kodangal, placing education, irrigation, and women empowerment at the forefront of the government’s priorities.
Addressing a public meeting after laying foundation stones for various development works including a centralized kitchen for the Mid-Day Meals scheme, the Chief Minister emphasized that the state would flourish economically only when women are happy and lead a dignified life.
Women Empowerment: Top Priority
The Chief Minister highlighted the government’s commitment to women’s welfare through multiple initiatives:
Solar Power Projects: The government has awarded contracts to women’s groups to set up solar power plants, with the CM challenging them to “compete with Ambani and Adani.” This initiative aims to make women financially independent while contributing to renewable energy goals.
Welfare Schemes: The distribution of fine rice, free RTC bus travel, and cooking gas cylinders at Rs.500 has brought cheer to every household and enhanced women’s economic freedom.
Marketing Support: The government has established stalls at Shilparamam in HITEC City to provide marketing facilities for women’s group products. Additionally, talks are in progress with Amazon for online international marketing of these products.
“The schemes helped the women community grow financially independent,” the CM stated, emphasizing the transformative impact of these initiatives.
Education Hub Vision
Asserting that quality education is the only way to brighten everyone’s future, CM Revanth Reddy announced comprehensive plans to transform Kodangal into an education hub:
Current Initiatives:
- Breakfast being provided to 28,000 students in 312 government schools in Kodangal constituency under the management of Akshaya Patra Foundation
- Centralized kitchen for mid-day meals to ensure nutritious food for students
- Government ensuring no student suffers from hunger

- Medical colleges
- Veterinary colleges
- Agricultural colleges
- Paramedical colleges
- Nursing colleges
- Engineering colleges
- Aarogyasri Treatment Centers (ATCs)
- Integrated Residential Schools
- Junior and degree colleges

“We are making Kodangal an education hub so that people from all over the state should come to pursue studies here. We are making efforts to promote Kodangal into an international education hub,” the CM declared.
Irrigation and Agriculture Development
The Chief Minister announced that farmers are voluntarily giving land for the Kodangal Lift Irrigation Project, which will be completed in 3 years and provide comprehensive irrigation facilities to the region.
This project is expected to transform agricultural productivity and ensure water security for farmers in the constituency.
Industrial Development: Lagacharla
The government is committed to transforming the Lagacharla industrial area into an international industrial park built with international standards.
The CM also announced the establishment of cement industries in Kodangal constituency, promising to promote the area as a center for industrial growth.
Railway Connectivity: 70-Year Dream
Addressing a long-pending demand, CM Revanth Reddy announced that the railway network to Kodangal will be completed soon.
“The 70-year dream of Kodangal people will come true as works for the railway line will start in 9 months,” the CM assured, marking a historic moment for the constituency’s connectivity.
Role Model Constituency
The Chief Minister expressed his vision to develop Kodangal as a role model constituency for the entire state, setting benchmarks in:

Reiterating his government’s commitment, CM Revanth Reddy stated that “Indiramma Rajyam” will be in power in the state for 10 years, seeking the support of women for the comprehensive development of Kodangal.
The CM also announced the distribution of sarees to women and instructed officials to ensure that everyone receives them.

Highlighting the government’s approach to student welfare, the CM said: “Like mothers, our government is also thinking about the wellbeing of students by providing quality food. We are ensuring that no student suffers from hunger.”
