Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has instructed Congress legislators to focus on promoting the government’s key schemes and guarantees. This move comes as the party prepares for the upcoming local body elections. He also emphasized the importance of highlighting the successful implementation of the farm loan waiver scheme.
Revanth Reddy urged party members to stay active in public life and to counter any negative campaigns launched by opposition parties. He stressed the need for strong communication to defend the government’s achievements.
During a Congress Legislative Party (CLP) meeting, the Chief Minister directed district in-charge ministers to visit their assigned districts at least twice a week. He also stated that future District Congress Committee (DCC) presidents will be selected based on their hard work and accomplishments. Revanth highlighted the importance of better coordination between the government and party workers to ensure the smooth implementation of schemes.
He also assured party members that those who remained loyal and worked tirelessly for the party during tough times would be recognized and rewarded for their efforts.
The meeting saw the adoption of a resolution thanking the party leadership for appointing MLC Mahesh Kumar Goud as the new PCC chief. Revanth Reddy noted that Goud’s appointment comes at a crucial time when the Congress is preparing to challenge the Modi-led BJP government at the national level. He added that Goud has been entrusted with a significant responsibility moving forward.
Lastly, the Chief Minister warned party members about the potential impact of the ‘One Nation One Election’ plan, stating that Prime Minister Modi is pushing this initiative with the aim of securing a fourth term in office.
