Coca-Cola has decided to increase its investments in Telangana. This includes the construction of a new plant in Siddipet, in addition to the existing Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages plant in Ameenpur. A delegation from Telangana, led by Minister KT Rama Rao, met with James McGreevy, Vice President of Coca-Cola, to discuss these investment plans.

Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Pvt Ltd (HCCB) has committed an additional investment of Rs. 647 Cr for the greenfield plant in Siddipet. This brings the total investment in this plant to Rs. 1,647 Cr. Coca-Cola is also considering establishing another manufacturing facility in the Karimnagar/Warangal region, which would further increase their total investments in manufacturing capacities to over Rs. 2,500 Crores.

According to an official statement, this expansion in capacity is one of the fastest by Coca-Cola in recent times. The company credits the support from the Telangana government, efficient execution of their ongoing construction projects, and strong growth in the region for their decision to increase investments.

In 2020, Coca-Cola invested Rs. 142 Cr to expand their Ameenpur plant. They signed an MoU in April 2022 to establish the new plant in Siddipet, which is expected to start operations in December 2024.
